Tax resident status in Dubai can be obtained in three ways.
Tax Residence Certificate is the official document issued by the UAE Ministry of Finance to companies that have been in operation for at least 1 year or to individuals with UAE residence visa/permanently residing in UAE for at least a minimum of 180 days.
This official certificate is used to take advantage of double taxation avoidance agreements signed by the United Arab Emirates with over 76 countries worldwide. This certificate is valid for one year from the date of issue.

The certificate requires approximately 4/5 working days for pre-approval and a further 7 for its release after approval.
The minimum conditions to maintain it are to be present in the country at least 1 day every 6 months.
